How To Play

The Player will begin the game by placing either a Pair Plus or Ante bets or both. After bet(s) have been placed then click the DEAL button to continue. Both the Player and Dealer will receive three cards apiece. Unless the SQUEEZE button is clicked the Player's cards are in the face up position and the Dealer's cards are face down.

When an Ante bet is placed the Player has to evaluate the hand as to whether or not go head-to-head with Dealer or fold at this point. If the FOLD button is clicked then all bets that were placed will be forfeited and that game concludes. If the PLAY button is clicked, then Dealer's cards will be shown the hands will be compared. If PLAY bet spot is clicked then a bet that is equivalent to the Player's Ante bet will be placed. If the Player is the winner then Ante Bonus or Pair Plus awards will be paid. When bets were initially placed and you chose to only make a Pair Plus bet then at this point you hand will be compared versus the Pair Plus pay table.

How To Bet

To begin playing Three Card Poker, players begin by placing bets. Either a Pair Plus or Ante bet must be made or you can place both bets. Next, select a chip value. Chips are located in the playing field. Players simply click on their desired chip value and that chip becomes highlighted. Remember that each click will place one chip on the table. Next you must decide what type of bet you want to place. As before, click on the desired bet: a Pair Plus bet, an Ante bet, or both.

Bets must meet the table minimum but not exceed the table maximum. When an Ante bet is made the Player must have enough left to cover, at the very least, a Play bet of equal value.

The Player may challenge the Dealer's hand after cards have been dealt. To execute this challenge the Player should click the PLAY button.

The REBET AND DEAL button can be clicked if you want to both repeat your last wager and begin a new game. Assuming enough credits exist, the REBET AND DEAL button will start a new game and place your last wager.

The REBET button should be clicked if you want to replicate the most recent bet without starting a new game. Players still have the opportunity to change the bet if so desired, but to begin play you must click the DEAL button.

The DOUBLE BET button will do just that: double the amount of your bet. Keep in mind that each time the DOUBLE BET button is clicked the current wager will double. The DOUBLE BET button is only available if the Player has enough credits to cover that bet. In any event the bet must still adhere to the table minimum and maximum limits. If the DOUBLE BET button is selected before any bet has been made, then that action will be equal to selecting the REBET button followed by the DOUBLE BET button. After all adjustments and bets have been made, click the DEAL button to begin play.

It is possible to erase a bet(s). You may do so by holding the SHIFT key while clicking on the bet you would like to remove. To clear all placed bets from the table, then hold the CLEAR button while clicking on the desired bet. Players should remember that bet(s) must be removed from the table BEFORE a hand is dealt.

Poker Hand Rankings

Three Card Poker hands have several possible results. If cards are said to have the same rank, then that means that all of the cards associated with that rank, must also have the same number or picture. For example, three 10s or two 5s all have the same rank. Three Jacks or two Kings also have the same rank. Below, is a list of several possible Poker outcomes and we have ranked them from highest to lowest.

Straight Flush:

This is the highest and hence, most powerful on the list. In this outcome one holds three cards that have the same suit and are ranked consecutively. An example of this would be 8-9-10 of Spades.

Three of a Kind:

This means that one holds three cards of the same rank. An example of this would be three 6s.

Straight:

In this outcome one holds three cards that have different suits but are ranked consecutively. An example of this would be A-2-3 where as the Ace is low. The Ace can also be high as shown in the example Q-K-A.

Flush:

This outcome contains three cards that have identical suits.

Pair:

This hand contains only two cards, but they must have the same rank.

High Card:

This hand the lowest of all and will contain three cards that do not match.

Comparing Poker Hands

Using the ranking list as a guide, when compared head-to-head and two hands differ in their outcomes, that hand that wins will be the one who ranks higher on the list.

The ranking list always dictates which hand will win even if both hands are equal. In cases where both hands have identical outcomes, the hand that has a superior value will win.

If an outcome is either a Pair or Three of a Kind then the winner will be the one who holds the higher card. If an outcome is either a Flush, Straight Flush, or Strait then the same rule will apply. Case in point: 8-9-10 Straight will win over an A-2-3 because the 10 is the high card over the 3. Similarly, a Pair of Queens will win over a Pair of 10s.

When two hands both hold a winning combination then the cards that remain will be then be compared. Case in point: a Q-9-9 will be declared the winner of a J-9-9 even though both hands hold a pair; the difference in the first hand is that the remaining Queen is the high card over the Jack.

Bonus

Ante Bonus

Players will only remain eligible for an Ante Bonus award if the Ante bet was: A) made before any cards are dealt, B) a Play bet is made prior to the Dealer showing his cards, and C) the Player does not fold. Players should refer to the Ante Bonus pay table to determine the amount of the award if one is to be paid.

It is important to remember that the Ante Bonus awards have nothing to do with the Dealer's hand. In fact the Dealer does not need to lose the hand or even play for that matter to win the award.

Playing Against The Dealer

The Dealer's hand will be shown and examined if the Player meets the following conditions: 1) makes an Ante bet, 2) places a Play bet, and 3) opts to play the hand against the Dealer. In order for the hand to be evaluated against the Player's hand, the Dealer must have either a Queen or a high Poker hand, if it does not, the Dealer won't play. If the Dealer's hand holds anything less than a high Queen then the Player will win that hand regardless if the Player really has the better hand or not. In this case the Play bet will be returned and the Player will collect 1 to 1 on the Ante bet.

When the Dealer does decide to play and he has the better hand, the Player will forfeit both Ante and Play bets. However, the Player will win 1 to 1 on both Ante and Play bets when Player has the better hand. If in a head-to-head comparison both hands are the same, then that hand results in a tie and the Player's wagers will be returned.

Additional Information

Pair Plus

Pairs Plus bets must be made before hands are dealt. If not then you will not be entitled for any Pair Plus awards. If the Player holds a Pair or better outcome then the Pair Plus award will be paid. Please refer to the Pair Plus section of the pay table to determine the amount of the award.

An Ante bet is not dependent on whether or not you placed a Pair Plus bet, but you must make both types of bets in addition to a Play bet to qualify for any Pair Plus award. If, once the cards have been dealt, you decide to fold the hand then you relinquish right to any Pair Plus award.

It is important to remember that the Pairs Plus awards have nothing to do with the Dealer's hand. In fact the Dealer does not need to lose the hand or even play for that matter in order for the Player to win the award.
