Additional Information

Playing a Hand of Blackjack

Aces have value 1 or 11. The Face cards have values 10. All other cards have values as on their face. When the hand's first two cards equal 21, such as an Ace plus a face card, it is called Blackjack.

When the player has first two cards which total equal a blackjack, then the player wins. You will win 3 to 2 on your bet if the Dealer does not have a Blackjack. If the Dealer also has a Blackjack, it is called a tie, and you get your bet back.

In European blackjack game, you are given the opportunity to improve your hand if you do not have a Blackjack. You may choose one of the following options depending on the cards you hold:

HIT - Ask for An additional card. Player can ask for Additional cards until he stands or busts or total value of cards reaches 21. When player busts, he has received a card the puts the total value of all his cards to go over 21. In that case, that hand loses and his bet is forfeited.

STAND - Play hand against the Dealer's hand without request for additional cards.

SPLIT - If the first two cards in a hand are the same value, player may split them into two separate hands by clicking SPLIT.

DOUBLE DOWN - Player can double the original bet by clicking the DOUBLE DOWN button. Player also receives one additional card.

The total card value is displayed on circular plaques neighboring to each hand. As cards are dealt, the plaque will display the updated total card value. When player hand holds an Ace and the plaque flashes the total card value along with the word 'Soft', the value displayed is counting the Ace as an 11 instead of 1( for example, a 5 plus and Ace equals a 'Soft 16').

When player's hand is compared against the Dealer's, Aces are given the highest possible value not to exceed twenty-one.

If the Dealer's hand is a Blackjack then the game ends and all bets are forfeited. Here, if player also have a Blackjack, the bet will be returned.

When the Dealer's total card value is 16 or lower, then the dealer will deal additional cards until the total card value is 17 or higher. The Dealer will bust if the total card value exceeds 21. Otherwise, the Dealer's total card value will be compared to each of your hands. In the event of a tie, this is a push and your bet for that hand will be returned.

If the Player hand busts (total value exceeds 21) then the Dealer will only receive a second card in the case where the Dealer's first card is an Ace and you placed an Insurance Bet.

Turbo

The TURBO button does not alter the playing method or the gaming rules, but rather increases the rate of play by eliminating certain animations such as the dealing of the cards. When Turbo button activated, it is highlighted in red. You may click on to activate or deactivate.
