Casino Poker Rules: Let It Ride
The Basics
Let It Ride Poker is less common at UK online casinos but, where it is offered, this variant is also played against the house rather than in competition with other players. The objective in this Poker is to obtain the best-ranking hand possible, with a minimum requirement of holding a pair of tens or better, while keeping the maximum bet on the game table.
Playing The Game
The usual ante bet is the opening requirement to participate in a game. The ante bet in Let It Ride Poker comprises three separate bets of the same value. You may also find some versions of the game in UK online casinos allow further ‘bonus' bets to payout on achieving specified hands rankings.
With the ante bet laid, the player receives three cards face up, the dealer three face down. The player then has the option to 'Pull' one of their three ante bets from the table if they don't rate their hand very strongly. The dealer then discards the fourth card dealt – the first of the three face down cards in front of him – and turns the fifth dealt card face up. The player now knows the value of four cards that will be his final hand, and can Pull the second bet if it is not looking promising, or ‘Let It Ride' to the next stage. The dealer then turns the last card he dealt face up to reveal the final value that will count towards the player's five-card hand.
So long as the combination of all five face up cards creates a ranking of one pair of tens or better, the player has won the game. The payout received reflects the ranking of the final hand and the value of the ante the player kept on the table.
