How To Play
The main objective of the Table Blackjack game is beat the Dealer by accumulating a total card value that is higher than the Dealer's but not over 21. Start game by placing a wager. After player’s wager has been placed, player must click the DEAL button to start the game.
The Player will receive two cards, both face up. The Dealer will receive two cards, one face up and one face down.
Face cards are worth 10 and Aces are worth either 1 or 11. All other cards are worth the value on their face. When the hand's first two cards equal 21, such as an Ace plus a face card, it is called Blackjack. A split hand leading to a two card total value of 21 is not Blackjack.
In the event the Dealer's face up card is an Ace, you will be offered Insurance against Dealer Blackjack. If you decide to accept the Dealer's Insurance offer, another bet equal to half of your original wager will automatically be placed. After the Insurance Bet has been accepted or declined, the Dealer's face down card is checked. If the Dealer has a Blackjack then your Insurance Bet, if made, will be paid 2 to 1 and the game ends. If the Dealer does not have a Blackjack, then any Insurance bet is forfeited and play continues.
If the Dealer's face up card is a 10 value card then the Dealer's face down card is then checked. In this case no Insurance Bet will be offered in advance. Checking for Dealer Blackjack is an advantage to the Player because it eliminates risking additional Double Down and Split wagers due to Dealer Blackjack being revealed late in the hand.
If the Dealer has Blackjack, the game ends and all wagers are forfeited. If the Player also has a Blackjack, this is called a push and your wager will be returned.
If the Dealer does not have Blackjack then you get to play out your hand. When the Player's first two card equal a Blackjack, then the Player is the guaranteed winner and will be paid 3 to 2. Otherwise, the Player will have the opportunity to improve the outcome of that hand.
HIT - Here, An additional card is requested. Additional cards may be requested until you either bust, stand, or your total card value reaches 21. When you bust you have received a card that puts the total value of all of your cards to go over twenty one. In that case, that hand loses and your bet is forfeited.
STAND - You decide to request no additional cards and play that hand against the Dealer's hand.
SPLIT - If you have the first two cards in a hand are the same value, you may split them into two separate hands by clicking SPLIT. So an additional bet that is equal to the original bet will be placed. When Aces are split, each Ace will only receive one additional card. A split hand whose two card total value is 21 is not a Blackjack. Each hand is only allowed one split assuming sufficient credits exist. Re-splitting is not allowed.
DOUBLE DOWN - You may click DOUBLE DOWN, it automatically double the original betting and receive one extra card. If you split cards other than Aces, you may double down either of the first two cards or split both hands, but only if sufficient credits exist. This will not be offered if the total card value of the first two cards is twenty one.
How To Bet
To begin playing Table Blackjack, you must first select a chip value by clicking it. Chip values are located at the bottom of the playing field. The chip selected will then become highlighted and appear in a raised position. Bets may be made by clicking on the bet circle, which is located in the center of the table. Each click places one chip on the table.
Your wager must meet the minimum limit but not exceed the maximum limit.
After your bets have been placed, click the DEAL button.
After a game is finished, if you want to begin a new one, you may repeat the last wager placed by clicking the REBET button. The REBET button restores the preceding wager. You may adjust your wager but the DEAL button needs to be clicked for play to begin.
The DOUBLE BET button doubles any presently placed bets with each click. The DOUBLE BET button is only available if the wager limit has not been exceeded.
If the DOUBLE BET button is clicked before a wager is placed, this would equal clicking the REBET button and then the DOUBLE BET button, resulting in placing a bet that is twice as large as your previous bet. The DEAL button must still be clicked for play to begin.
Bets may be removed from the table by either holding the SHIFT key while clicking on the chips on the felt or by clicking on the CLEAR button.
Additional Information
Turbo
The TURBO button does not change the method of play or the rules, but rather increases the rate of play by eliminating certain animations such as the dealing of the cards. When activated, the TURBO button is highlighted in red. You may click on it to either activate or deactivate it.
Evaluating Your Hand
The total card value is displayed on circular plaques adjacent to each hand. As cards are dealt, the plaque will display the updated total card value. When your hand holds an Ace and the plaque flashes the total card value along with the word "Soft", the value displayed is counting the Ace as an 11 instead of 1 (for example, a 5 plus an Ace equals a "Soft 16").
Aces are only counted as an 11 if it does not make the total card value to exceed 21. When your hand is compared against the Dealer's, Aces are given the highest possible value not to exceed 21.
After your hand is played the Dealer's face down card is revealed. If the Player hand is either a bust or a Blackjack winner, then the Dealer's hand will not be played. Otherwise, the Dealer's hand will be played out once the Player hand is complete.
When the Dealer's total card value is 17 or higher it will be compared to the Player's hand and the highest total card value will win. When the Dealer's total card value is 16 or lower, additional cards will be dealt until the total card value is 17 or higher. The Dealer will bust if the total card value exceeds 21 and the Player will win. In the event of a tie, this is a push and your wager for that hand will be returned.
